Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away.. The holographic circus that entertains Neil’s little siblings is the same one that watches over Chewbacca’s extended family in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).. Featured in AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). Since I know a lot of hate will be directed at this show because of the rise and fall of the last Star Wars, I’m happy to say that this is a rise. So far… The first 2 episodes don’t break new ground, nor are they very original, but that’s not a problem as it handles everything well. The cast and acting are great, the costume/set design is probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the script, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new, but it’s intriguing nonetheless and I’m excited to keep watching. It gives me strong Treasure Planet vibes. As someone who hasn’t enjoyed the last few Star Wars shows, I was pleasantly surprised by Skeleton Crew. I hope anyone who’s even slightly interested or even upset by the last few shows will give it a try. Don’t let the “for kids” talk put you off. Star Wars is made for everyone, and so is this.
